Frequently asked questions

If you have a question about the product not answered on this page, please contact us.

Why is this system better than my current one?

This system is very simple to administer. There is no machinery outlay and costly repairs. No maintenance yet produces an easily distributable form of nutrients for the farm.

What is it?

We use a secretly formulated mixture of non pathogenic facultative anaerobic and aerobic bacteria. Facultative anaerobes can operate with or without oxygen which is important as most ponds have a degree of oxygen captured within them. The bacteria are harvested freeze dried, but then they are mixed dry with a carrier appropriate for dairy application.

How do the bacteria work?

The dose provides massive amount bacteria. These bacteruim are ferocious producers of the appropriate enzymes which are needed to break down the solids as quickly as possible. The liquids that are produced have an increased nutrient availability and are easily irrigated.

Why do we need to treat every two weeks?

We recommend after getting a pond into a manageable state we maintain it by dosing two weekly. The bacteria have 17 day life cycle. Overlapping 3 days keeps competing and detrimental bacteria from re establishing a foothold in the pond. This will both manage any entering solids and keep the availably nutrients constant.

What does this system cost?

This will depend on a number of variables. Pond size and existing material will determine initial treatment. Cow numbers and associated information will determine daily loading and hence maintenance dosing. Contact us for more details.

Does it work in feed pad situations?

Yes this system was developed in the United States for feedlot dairying.
